In the ninth season of this medical drama, several doctors who were on board a small plane that went down struggle with the aftermath of the life-changing plane crash, which resulted in both severe injuries and deaths. Cristina (Sandra Oh) decides to accept a fellowship in Minnesota as a way of moving on, and she and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) pursue a major lawsuit concerning the crash. Meanwhile, Meredith is happy to learn that she's pregnant again; and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) gets cold feet en route to her wedding to Ben (Jason George). Career-wise, Bailey also encounters some trouble when she becomes the target of a CDC investigation.
