With Shane in New York to shoot his first solo music video, Sherrie, Jared and Tenisha hit the road to offer him support, and an emotional Tenisha shows another side of her personality that proves quite revealing. Meanwhile, Peter and his children attend a carnival for gay families.
Peter has a heart-to-heart talk with his daughter about his concerns that she's being bullied at school because of his sexual preference. And Brent's bizarre behavior leads Olivia to make an important decision.
Jared and Tenisha ponder reconciling after their Gay Pride Day dustup; Olivia contemplates bailing out Brent after his arrest for credit-card fraud; Sherrie and Shane shoot their music video amid on-set drama and boyfriend discord on his part.
Jared's racy dating video gets the thumbs down from Tenisha. Elsewhere, Peter has great expectations that Olivia and Brent will enjoy his comedy act so much that they'll ask him to host their benefit show. Later, Gay Pride Day celebrations take an ugly turn when Tenisha and Jared have a fight about his flirting.
Season 2 follows four pairs in Nashville. In the opener, Shane helps Sherrie mount her music-industry comeback and tries to sell her on religion; Tenisha makes light of Jared's breakup; Olivia and Brent organize a fund-raising event; and Kristin looks to Peter when her fiancé goes on a tour of duty.
