Premise

Following five Oglala Lakota young people from South Dakota's Pine Ridge Reservation as they swim from Alcatraz island to San Francisco. The 2005 endurance swim in icy San Francisco Bay is the culmination of a weeklong series of training sessions overseen by Bay Area pediatrician Nancy Iverson, a South Dakota native.
