Everyday folks get dramatic makeovers in this reality show, based on a popular special, in which cosmetic surgeons, stylists and fitness instructors work their magic. The series was spun-off to a `Home Edition' that specializes in remodeling the abodes of needy families.
Season 4 closes with makeovers for Jim and Jennifer, firefighters in Erie, Pa. They see the results for the first time at their wedding. Jim's procedures include rhinoplasty, a brow lift, liposuction, laser hair removal, dental work and hair restoration. Jennifer's procedures include a brow and eyelid lift, a cheek lift, rhinoplasty, a chin implant, a breast lift and augmentation, liposuction, eye surgery and dental work.
Life-changing makeovers are given to a 30-year-old legally blind woman with a severe overbite that makes it difficult for her to talk, and a 45-year-old below-the-knee amputee. Regis Philbin and wakeboarder Tara Hamilton appear.
Transformations for a 38-year-old deaf man who finds jobs for other deaf people; and a woman, married to a Special Forces hero, whose face was scarred by a poisonous-spider bite. Marlee Matlin and George Lopez appear.
