The final three chefs battle in the jungles of Thailand for the $50,000 grand prize in the Season 2 finale. They work with elephants and members of a native tribe before climbing hundreds of stairs to create the perfect bite in front of a Buddhist temple.
The six remaining chefs join the U.S. Coast Guard for a challenge at sea. They'll create gourmet meals using military MREs (Meal, Ready-to-Eat) and a seafood protein pulled in from traps in the water. Later, they must rescue ingredients from a capsized fishing boat and cook two dishes on a floating dock.
Seven chefs are dropped into the abandoned town of Salton City, Cal., for a post-apocalyptic-theme challenge in the Season 2 opener. They'll scavenge for ingredients and tools before building their own cooking stations and preparing a meal for judges Simon Majumdar and Mykel Hawke.
