A chronicle of Connecticut River log drives of the late 1800s and early 1900s that typically began in Quebec and ended in Massachusetts. Included: archival photos of the boats used in the transportation of the logs; an examination of objects lost in the river during the trips, including tools, whiskey bottles, boom chains and log cribs.
