Cari travels to Farmington, Mich., to oversee the sale of historical Americana treasures, including a vintage Bible, doll collection, Masonic sword and antique furniture; and she tests out an app that allows buyers to learn more about the pieces she's selling. Cari has a huge crowd on her hands for an estate sale featuring antique furniture, copper pots and curio pieces from the past. Also: She transforms a coffee table into an ottoman; updates a 1950s Harry Bertoia chair; and goes picking for treasures with a local artist.
Cari deals with cold temperatures and hard bargainers as she attempts to sell furniture, vintage cameras, cuff links, fish taxidermy and a pool table. She also invites locals to have their treasures appraised by experts at her warehouse; and turns an old claw-foot bathtub into a love seat for her wedding.
A seller wants to unload her collection, which includes antique clocks, Asian art and a truck, immediately. Meanwhile, Cari's search for great treasures finds her braving a blizzard and combing through a salvage yard. She also takes an old window and turns it into a stained-glass jewelry display.
Cari uses the Internet to drum up interest in a sale at a remote location during cold weather. She also has a toy collection appraised, transforms a steamer trunk into a children's desk, and considers hiring a full-time employee.
