On their last deer hunt of the season, Trent and Josh make moves to fill their tags. Bacon and rattlesnake are on the menu as team member Charlie Prickett turns his attention to feral hogs and the guys try eating rattlesnake for the first time.
Deer season always ends entirely too quickly. For the last trip of the year, Trent, Josh, and Charlie take their Thompson Center rifles to Texas hit one of their favorite places to hunt, The River Bluff Lodge.
Trent and Josh are getting one last hunt in before Thanksgiving and are at Big Cedars Outfitters with Daniel Springer and Bill Jenkins. As time winds down, they decide to split up and hit different stands with their T/C Arms in tow.
Getting kids involved in the outdoors is incredibly rewarding. Josh has fun with several kids aiming for their first deer as pro-staffer Steve Niederer gets his niece and nephew involved. Fletcher Cox continues his quest for the One-Eyed 9 .
After his top target buck is a no-show and his #2 target buck becomes roadkill, Josh uses the terrain, a cold front and past experience to his advantage, slipping in on a buck he calls Funky Winkerbeam.
The whitetail rut is here. Josh squares off with his #2 target buck at 10 yards from the ground. Pro-staffers Steve Niederer and Buddy Tunnicliffe pack their bags and head westbound to Ohio where they have an incredible week in the stand.
With his first tag of the season filled, Trent gets back to farm work patiently waiting for the next hunt. Josh waits out a cold front and chases a fall turkey as Richie Elam takes advantage of that very same cold front in southern Ohio.
