Kevan's attitude toward his fellow city roommates changes; Reese suggests a game of “truth or dare,” which sparks a romance between Ariel and Nick. Also: fortune tellers look into the futures of the kids; the Amish attend a street festival at the Hare Krishna Temple.
Whitney brings her roommates to South Central to meet her family and enjoy a backyard barbecue. Also: one of the Amish kids gets a piercing; Mose tastes a blended coffee drink for the first time; Ariel forms an empathic bond with the sharks at the Aquarium of the Pacific; and Miriam is surprised by a special visitor during her 22nd birthday party.
The group attends a concert at the Hollywood Park horse race track. Also: the city kids learn about horses during a visit to the L.A. Equestrian Center; Reese reveals a new side of himself to his roommates through his volunteer work; and Ariel accompanies the Amish for Sunday services at a local church.
The Amish kids meet the city kids. They go shopping together; and go to the beach, where Mose almost drowns. Also, the city kids don traditional Amish garb before leaving for a day at a go-kart track; and tension between the two groups heats up.
