The X Factor: Who Got Cut From the Top 13? Who Got the Most Votes?

It was a star-studded night on The X Factor Thursday, with viewer votes deciding which contestant would be sent home from the Top 13. So, who got the boot? And who was shockingly named the show's frontrunner?

Before getting to that, let's review what else happened during the hour. One Direction opened the show with a performance of "Live While We're Young" that send the mostly female audience (which included Glee's Lea Michele) into a frenzy. Their honorary "sixth member," Drew Brees, also put in an appearance and the group returned midway through the hour to perform the ballad "Little Things."

In between One Direction's performances, hosts Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian revealed the acts which (in no particular order) were determined to be safe: All of Britney Spears's Teens (Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Diamond White) made it through, as did all of Simon Cowell's Groups (Lyric 145, Emblem 3 and Fifth Harmony). Vino Alan and Tate Stevens from L.A. Reid's Over 25s, and Paige Thomas and Jennel Garcia from Demi Lovato's Young Adults were also included in the Top 12.

That left CeCe Frey from the Young Adults and Jason Brock from the Over 25s to go head-to-head in a sing-off. They were the two contestants who got the lowest number of audience votes, but it would be the judges' decision which one would go home.

For her Save Me song, Frey opted for Cher's "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," while Brock chose Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for what might be his final performance.

When Kardashian and Lopez turned to the judges, Reid opted to save his protégé Brock, while Lovato fought to save hers, Frey. (No surprise there.) But Spears voted to send Frey home, while Simon, who's bashed Brock's last two performances, named him. A deadlocked judges panel means that the contestant who received the fewest viewer votes would be sent packing. And that was ...

Jason Brock. As Frey started crying because she was saved, Brock told Kardashian and Lopez he "did it for the gays and Japan" before leaving the stage.

But that wasn't the end of the show! Before signing off for the night, Lopez and Kardashian revealed the order of the Top 12 (as determined by viewer vote). The order of the Top 12, from lowest number of votes to highest, is:
