In case you haven't gotten around to reading my Backstage Emmy Report, here's some scoop I stumbled upon while trolling the red carpet. Star Trek icon William Shatner told me that his much-talked-about Enterprise guest stint is on hold because, well, I'll let him tell you. "When I talked to [UPN] about money, they blinked," he says, adding that there's still a chance it could happen "if they open their eyes." If it can be worked out, Shatner says it would be for two episodes, not one. Note to UPN: Don't cheap out on this one.
