Candy Spelling's claims of a feud between her and daughter Tori Spelling are greatly exaggerated, the 90210 star says.
"It's not like we're not talking, we just haven't talked," Tori told People. "I love my mother. I've always loved her [and] no doubt she loves me. There's no feud. We simply never meshed."
Mother and daughter were estranged for years before reconciling after Tori gave birth to her son, Liam, in 2007. Recently, Candy said she's been cut off from her daughter and her family, which includes Tori's husband, Dean McDermott, and daughter Stella, 10 months. Candy said she has never met her granddaughter.
"I, in no way, cut her off. She is welcome to make the effort if she wants to be present in their lives," Tori said.
The actress, whose book Mommywood hits stores Tuesday, said the last time they communicated was a year ago, when she was pregnant with Stella.
"She knows how to reach me, she knows where we live," Tori said. "If she would love to see her grandchildren, she should really make an effort to reach out and see them."
