But will she still love Today tomorrow? Katie Couric, whose contract with the NBC morning program expires next May, plans to make a decision in the fall about her status as Matt Lauer's better half. "I have [at times] one of the best jobs in television," Couric tells The New Yorker. "At the same time, everybody needs recharging." Couric says that scrutiny of Today's dips in ratings and reports on her alleged diva behavior have tested her, but it "goes with the territory, unfortunately, of being successful and female" and way too bubbly at 7 am.
