Big things are happening for Tiffany Haddish.
After her breakout performance in Girls Trip and her amazing story about using a Groupon to take Will and Jada Pinkett Smith on a swamp tour, Haddish has hosted Saturday Night Live, released a Showtime stand-up special, became a bestselling author, and became an official Groupon pitchwoman in a Super Bowl ad.
Now she's adding one more job to her increasingly extensive resumé — she announced today that she'll be hosting the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards.
"It's gon' be hilarious," she promised in an Instagram video announcing the gig.
Before the award show, Haddish can be seen in Tracy Morgan's comedy series The Last O.G., which premieres Tuesday, April 3 at 10:30/9:30c on TBS. She also just signed on to lend her voice to a Netflix animated series called Tuca and Bertie from the creative team behind BoJack Horseman. She'll play a cocky toucan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards will air on Monday, June 18 at 9/8c. The nominees for the show, which expanded to TV from just movies last year and also introduced gender-neutral categories, will be announced at a later date.
