The Walking Dead: Leaked Finale Spoilers Threaten a Cliff-Hanger Ending

If this report is true, it's going to be a frustrating offseason

[WARNING: The following story may contain spoilers from the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead. Read at your own risk.]

We already know that The Walking Dead's Season 6 finale is going to be long and dark. Now, if a new report from Spoil the Dead via HNGN is to be believed, it's going to end on a cliff-hanger as well.

It's no secret that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is going to kill someone with his barbed-wire-wrapped baseball bat. In the comics, it was Glenn, but it could be someone else on the show. In the finale, a group of heroes including Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Daryl (Norman Reedus), is captured and Negan plays "a sickening game of 'eeny, meeny, miny moe'" with his captives before deciding on who's going to bite the dust. But apparently when he swings the bat, the camera switches to the victim's point of view and we don't see who it is. So fans will be left to speculate for the next several months in a repeat of Game of Thrones' interminable "Is Jon Snow dead or not?" offseason.

All the places you've seen The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan before

This would be a really frustrating move on The Walking Dead's part, especially coming after Glenn's fake-out death earlier this season. Hopefully this leak is a cruel trick. The Walking Dead is a cruel show, both to its characters and its fans, but this would be too cruel even for the show that regularly shows children getting shot in the head and/or ripped apart by zombies.

The Walking Dead's Season 6 finale airs Sunday, April 3 at 9/8c on AMC, but we have one more week to go before we get there.
