If You Were Hoping for a Snow/Rosso Romance in The Flash Season 6, Sorry to Disappoint

Shippers, don't start your engines! A new villain is headed to town for The Flash Season 6, and he's got quite a close relationship with one member of Team Flash. However, you might want to put aside any romantic notions you may have when it comes to Dr. Ramsey Rosso (Sendhil Ramamurthy), aka Bloodwork, and our beloved Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker).

When Ramsey's character was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, new Flash showrunner Eric Wallace teased that he'd have a history with Caitlin. That history, as it turns out, led to a much closer relationship between the two than we ever expected. It just doesn't happen to be the kind of relationship where they occasionally make out.

"I think that a lot of people are probably expecting it to be like a romantic thing, and it's totally not," Ramamurthy told TV Guide. "It is a really close, like a brother-and-sister-type bond that Caitlin and Ramsey have. And those scenes that I got to do with Danielle, they're really cool. They're really very sweet in a lot of ways."

For those fans who've lived through Caitlin's seemingly endless romantic turmoil, this comes as a pretty huge relief, especially when you remember how her last romance with a big bad panned out. It's honestly a miracle that Zoom didn't end up scaring Caitlin off of men for good!

Everything We Know So Far About The Flash Season 6

Just because she won't be getting busy with Ramsey, though, doesn't mean the two won't be tugging on our heartstrings in Season 6. According to Panabaker, they'll be the source of a great deal of angst soon after The Flash premieres.

"We see Caitlin and Ramsey interact very early in the season," Panabaker said. "Ramsey's mother passes away and Caitlin goes to the funeral, and you can tell instantly that there's a history between them and actually a lot of affection. They are sort of brother and sister-like and have a lot of respect and love for each other. But that relationship quickly changes when Caitlin gets some more information about what Ramsey's up to."

We'll leave what he's up to as a mystery, but like any good villain, Ramsey Rosso has an agenda, and he's willing to go to great lengths to see his goals actualized. And in his case, the ends may not justify the means when all is said and done.

The Flash premieres Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on The CW.
