The Flash Boss Says the Newest Wells Is 'A Man of Adventure'

Indiana Wells, here we come?

One of the best things about starting a new season of The Flash is that we get to meet a new version of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). We don't know exactly who we'll be getting in Season 6, but he sure sounds like a fun deviation from what we're used to.

Grant Gustin told TV Guide to expect the unexpected from this new version of Wells. "As always, he's very different than other Wells' of the past," he said. "He's an adventurer in a way, a little rough around the edges.... [Tom Cavanagh] is having fun with it though, as always."

Showrunner Eric Wallace then echoed those vague teases at a press screening of the Season 6 premiere, saying of the new Wells, "He's my favorite since Harrison Wells, the Reverse Flash [in] Season 1, because he's cool. He's suave. It's just what Tom said at Comic-Con: This is a man of adventure. This is a man who can kind of get in the fight and hold his own. We haven't seen Wells like that. But there's this completely unexpected side to him, which I will not spoil, that's just wonderful. He has a secret, a secret that will be slowly dripped out in graphic novel number one, but which will really mess with his mind literally -- that's a spoiler right there -- in [...] graphic novel number two."

Everything We Know About The Flash Season 6 So Far

Wallace is, of course, referring to the format change happening this season on The Flash, wherein the season is divided into two distinct parts, which Wallace refers to as two distinct graphic novels. It's Season 6A and 6B, if you will. But whoever this new Wells is, he hasn't shown up in any of the photos from the season premiere, so hope springs eternal for Episode 2!

The Flash Season 6 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on The CW.
