The Bold Type Exclusive Sneak Peek: Jane's Got Babies on the Brain

Ever since Jane (Katie Stevens) found out she had the BRCA gene on The Bold Type, we've known that her medical future (and the potential for her to one day be diagnosed with breast cancer) was always something she'd have to return to sooner or later. We just never thought she'd have to start making such huge life decisions so soon!

In this exclusive sneak peek at this week's episode, Jane's latest doctor's appointment takes a pretty unexpected turn when her doctor asks her whether she's started thinking about her plans to have children. Since the most effective preventative treatment for women who test positive for the BRCA gene involves an ovariectomy (the surgical removal of the ovaries), Jane has to decide if she ever wants to have kids. If so, she's needs to start making plans to have them.

That's a pretty huge decision for a 25-year-old woman to make, especially one so new in her career as Jane, and let's not even get started on the romance factor.
