The Blacklist Sneak Peek: Ressler's in the Hot Seat

When The Blacklist returns with back-to-back episodes Friday, United States v. Raymond Reddington (James Spader) will be back in full focus. Red's deal with the FBI insulates him from crimes committed in the past few years, but he still has decades of crime before that he can be prosecuted for, including a little light treason that AUSA Sima (Ken Leung, aka Junior Soprano's friend in the psychiatric hospital on the last season of The Sopranos) is trying to nail him on. And in "Minister D," the second of Friday's episodes, Sima is going to call Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) as a witness.

"Back when the FBI was hunting Reddington instead of working for him, you ran point on the investigation," Sima reminds Ressler. Ressler doesn't want to do it, because the 'alleged' treason happened long before his time, but Sima doesn't have anyone else to ask, because Ressler's predecessors on the case are all dead.

"Agent Ressler, once I put you under oath, your loyalty will be to the truth, not Reddington," Sima says. "Perjure yourself even once and I will make sure you join your boss in prison."

Ressler's in a tough position here. He's always been the member of the task force most uncomfortable with the FBI's deal with Reddington. Will he tell the truth and help the prosecutors put Red away for good, or will he risk his own freedom and be loyal to the task force?
