According to Variety, a federal judge in Los Angeles has found that WB's Smallville may infringe on copyrights held by the widow of Superboy-comic-book creator Jerome Siegel. In response, Warner Bros. said it "respectfully disagrees" with the rulings, arguing in part that the copyright pertains to the costumed Superboy character, and will thus pursue an appeal.
