Star Wars: The Clone Wars Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Sith happens. The first half of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' season was mostly lighthearted kiddie fare featuring plots about younglings and droids. But matters are about to get violently dark.

In the Saturday's episode of the CG-animated hit, Sith brothers Darth Maul (voiced by Being Human's Sam Witwer) and Savage Opress (Clancy Brown) join forces with Pre Vizsla, leader of the ominous Death Watch, in an attempt to exterminate their common enemy, Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor). Vizsla is voiced by Iron Man director Jon Favreau.

The body count begins almost instantly when the terrorist trio, needing to expand their forces, approach several alien races with a frightening offer: Join us against the Jedi general or die. "It was all George Lucas' idea," says supervising director Dave Filoni. "Nobody else at Lucasfilm would have ever imagined a bunch of Mandalorian warriors led by Darth Maul making an assault on Jabba the Hutt's house. This doesn't happen in Star Wars! It's like some crazy, nerdapalooza mash-up kids create at home with action figures."

Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs Saturdays at 9:30am/8:30c on Cartoon Network.
