ABC's acclaimed spy yarn Alias has scored a major victory. The network has scheduled an original episode of the ratings underdog to air in the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot on Jan. 26. "The episode that [Alias creator] J.J. Abrams has written to air post-Super Bowl is a phenomenal hour of television, maybe the best hour of pure entertainment we've seen," said ABC entertainment president Susan Lyne. "This is a show that we have always believed deserved a bigger audience, and the Super Bowl will help introduce it to millions of new viewers." In related news, ABC is moving The Practice from Sundays to Mondays at 9 pm/ET beginning Jan. 27. Dick Wolf's Dragnet remake takes over Practice's old Sunday at 10 pm/ET home starting Feb. 2. This is a change from ABC's previous plan to air Dragnet on Mondays.
