Spielberg's Social Network Does What Exactly?

Call me a Luddite, but I'm not as familiar with social networks as somebody who works for a website probably should be. So the news that Steven Spielberg would be launching a social network was kind of shrug-worthy for me, even more so when I discovered that said forum would be a venue where people could share their paranormal or extraterrestrial experiences (aka the worst cocktail party imaginable).Doesn't such a website already exist? Is Spielberg fishing for new material? The man's wide-ranging tastes have always impressed me, so maybe he's on to something. I loved his alien films, of course, but I also can't wait to see how he directs Liam Neeson as Abraham Lincoln in an upcoming biopic. But a spooky ghost-story website? I don't know; it seems a little beneath him. But, like I said, I'm ignorant in the ways of social networking. Educate me: Is this idea better than it sounds? — Mickey O'Connor
