Dave Chappelle is breaking his silence for the first time since Comedy Central suspended production of Chappelle's Show more than two weeks ago. In an interview with Time magazine, the comic acknowledged that he was "definitely stressed out" over the direction of his show, but denied a report that he checked himself into a mental-health facility. He insists he went to South Africa for a "spiritual retreat," adding, "you hear so many voices jockeying for position in your mind that you want to make sure that you hear your own voice. So I figured, let me just cut myself off from everybody." Chappelle indicated that he'd like to start Chappelle's Show back up again, but he did not say when. I suggest when the voices stop.
