Let's just say that Shaquille O'Neal is looking to expand his horizons. In addition to squaring off against opponents in traditional sports like boxing (against Sugar Shane Moseley) and golf (versus Charles Barkley), for Season 2 of Shaq Vs. (Tuesday, 9:01/8:01c, ABC), the hoops star will also try to out-cook Rachael Ray and have an eating competition with Joey Chestnut.

TV Guide Magazine: Did you have a hand in selecting your rivals?

O'Neal: Yeah. Since I'm such a diverse person, I wanted to have a broad spectrum of competitors. Plus, I'm one of those guys who watches TV and says, "I can do that." Guy playing soccer? I can do that. Guy climbing up a tree? I can do that.

TV Guide Magazine: What are some of your favorite challenges this season?

O'Neal: Race-car driving [against NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Jr., in the premiere]. They built me a car, and that was the most intense thing I've ever done in my life. Sugar Shane Moseley surprised me. He's a friend of mine, but he hit me with a couple shots, so I had to retaliate. And I did a spelling bee, which was great. As you get older, you realize you're not that smart anymore.
