Despite being dogged by critics, Scooby-Doo snacked on $56.4 million at the box office, ranking as the weekend's No. 1 film and setting a record for the biggest June opening in history. Matt Damon's well-reviewed spy thriller The Bourne Identity debuted in second place with a healthy $27.5 million gross — roughly on par with the $31.2 million his buddy Ben Affleck scored with The Sum of All Fears three weeks ago (not that the Good Will Hunting pals keep track of such things). The latest summer blockbuster to arrive DOA was the Nicolas Cage drama Windtalkers, which bowed in third place with a disappointing $14.5 million. Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood rounded out the top five with $9.8 million.
