In response to Monday's Entertainment News item about Utah Jazz mogul Larry Miller booting Brokeback Mountain from the Salt Lake City theater he owns, several locals e-mailed TVGuide.com to say that the film is nonetheless getting good lovin'. "Brokeback is being shown at Century 16 Theaters, and the showing I was at was quite full," reports one reader. "Adds another: "[Brokeback] is being shown at an independent, nonprofit theater run by the Salt Lake Film Society, and it has made over $46,000 since its opening on Dec. 30, so it's doing quite well without Larry Miller. There are enough open-minded liberals in Salt Lake to go around."
