It was a marvelous night for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at the 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.

The series took home best ensemble cast for a comedy series, while stars Rachel Brosnahan and Tony Shalhoub won, respectively, best actress and actor in a comedy. For Shalhoub, it was his third honor from the SAG Awards; for Brosnahan, it was her first-ever award. Overall, Mrs. Maisel was nominated for four awards, tied with Netflix's Ozark for the most for a television series. (The only award it lost was for Alex Borstein, who was also nominated alongside Brosnahan in the best actress category.)

The aforementioned Ozark won just one of its awards, best actor for Jason Bateman. The show had two best actress nominees, in Julia Garner and Laura Linney, but both lost to Killing Eve actress Sandra Oh.

Best drama series ensemble cast went to This Is Us, while Darren Criss from the Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and Patricia Arquette from Escape from Dannemora won lead actor trophies in the limited series categories.

The SAG Awards celebrate acting across film and television -- up to and including the ceremony's biggest awards of the night, best ensemble cast across television comedy, television drama and feature film.

Film winners included Black Panther for best ensemble, The Wife star Glenn Close (for best actress), Bohemian Rhapsody lead Rami Malek (for best actor), A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt (for supporting actress) and Green Book actor Mahershala Ali (for supporting actor).

Normally, the SAG Awards provide further insight into where the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences might cast their ballots for the Oscars. (Actors account for the largest branch of the academy.) But this year's two biggest best picture contenders, Roma and Green Book, failed to score ensemble nominations. Roma, in fact, which tied for the most Oscar nominations with 10, didn't secure one vote from the Screen Actors Guild. (Green Book, more of a two-hander, found glory for stars Viggo Mortensen and Ali.)

With its win in the best ensemble category, Black Panther continues to play an underdog role in the best picture race -- especially with its victory on Sunday night over former front-runner, A Star Is Born, as well as fellow best picture nominees BlacKkKlansman and Bohemian Rhapsody.
