Ryan Seacrest has topped The Hollywood Reporter's fourth annual Reality Power list.
The multi-hyphenate moved up four spots from last year to oust his former American Idol comrade Simon Cowell, who held the No. 1 spot in 2009 and 2010. Cowell dropped to sixth place this year since his new series, The X Factor, has not premiered in the States yet.

The rankings for the 50 spots are determined by such factors as having a reputation for quality and innovation within the business, having an overall impact on pop culture and delivering "watercooler" moments. In the past year, Seacrest won his first Emmy for producing Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, developed two more spin-offs in his Kardashian franchise and of course is part of the resurgent Season 10 of Idol.Seacrest, 36, is not done expanding his media empire. He says plans to launch his own cable network are "still very active" and is preparing to segue into scripted TV and film development.

All of the people on the list between Seacrest and Cowell are network executives. Others include Jersey Shore producer Sally Ann Salsano (No. 10), Gordon Ramsay (No. 20), Teen Mom producer Morgan J. Freeman (No. 24), Pawn Stars mastermind Brent Montgomery (No. 32) and Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, who makes the cut at No. 50.
