ROAD RULES

There was major congestion (wink, wink) at the box office over the weekend as the Ben Affleck-Samuel L. Jackson road rage drama Changing Lanes debuted at No. 1 with an impressive $17.6 million haul. After two weeks at the top, Panic Room slipped to second with $11.3 million, followed by Cameron Diaz's raunchy comedy The Sweetest Thing (No. 3 with a so-so $10 million). Rounding out the top five: Ice Age (No. 4 with $8.7 million) and The Rookie (No. 5 with $8.1 million).
