RAY WALSTON DEAD AT 86

Ray Walston — the Tony- and Emmy-winning actor best known as alien Uncle Martin in the '60s sitcom My Favorite Martian — died Monday at his Beverly Hills home of natural causes. He was 86. Walston's earlier work also included starring as the Devil in the stage and screen versions of Damn Yankees. In 1982, he appeared on the big screen in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and more recently, won two Emmys for TV's Picket Fences. He was last seen in, appropriately enough, the season premiere of CBS's Touched by an Angel.
