Ratings: Person of Interest Hits Series High

CBS drama Person of Interest hit an all-time high in the ratings on Thursday night. The freshman series garnered 15.8 million viewers with a 3.4 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, aided by the lead-in of a Big Bang Theory repeat, which easily outperformed the last new episode of Rob!

CBS drama Person of Interest hit an all-time high in the ratings on Thursday night.

The freshman series garnered 15.8 million viewers with a 3.4 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, aided by the lead-in of a Big Bang Theoryrepeat, which easily outperformed the last new episode of Rob! 

Fox, again, won the 8 o'clock hour in the demo with the American Idol results show raking in 17 million viewers and a 4.8 rating. The competition series edged out Big Bang Theory, a repeat Wipeout and new episodes of 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation.

NBC's new series Awake, meanwhile, fell 20 percent in its second week against a fresh episode of The Mentalist (13.8 million viewers, 2.8 rating).
