Facing off against both American Idol and The Big Bang Theory for the first time since its return, the NBC comedy held steady with 3.6 million viewers and a 1.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. It is Community's second-highest rating since Sept. 29.

Returning from a three-month hiatus, Rules of Engagement pulled in 8.8 million viewers and a 2.8, up a tenth from its last new episode. Person of Interest (14.4 million, 3.3) and The Mentalist (13.5 million, 2.7), which returned from three-week breaks, were down slightly.Missing dropped 12 percent to 7.7 million viewers and a 1.4, while Touch (9.1 million, 2.8) slipped 15 percent. 8 p.m.
