Bones' long-awaited return delivered strong numbers — and so did Game of Thrones.

After a three-month hiatus, the Fox drama returned Monday in its new time slot with 8.2 million viewers and a 2.5 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. That's a 4 percent increase in the demo from the show's last new episode and is the best rating Fox has seen in the Mondays-at-8 slot all season. Predecessors House and Alcatraz only averaged a 2.1 and a 1.6, respectively. House followed with 6.72 million and a 2.2., up 5 percent from its last fresh episode two weeks ago.

CBS won the night with the NCAA Championship game, averaging 17.8 million viewers and a 6.4 rating from 9 to 11:30 p.m.

Dancing with the Stars (16.54 million, 2.8) continued its decline, hitting a series low in the demo. The Voice

(10.7 million, 4.1) also fell to hit a season low. The reality rivals' lead-outs tied in the demo with a 2.2, but Castle (12.06 million) dipped, while Smash (6.09 million) rose.On cable, Game of Thrones' second season premiere on Sunday hit a new series high of 3.9 million viewers. The figure is up 74 percent from its series premiere last year and up 27 percent from its Season 1 finale, which previously held the record with 3 million viewers.Fellow Sunday night cable show The Killing fared less well in its return. The AMC drama's two-hour Season 2 premiere averaged 1.8 million viewers — well off from the 2.3 million who tuned in for its series premiere. The drop also ended a success streak for AMC, which saw The Walking Dead and Mad Men pull in record numbers for their finale and premiere the past two weeks.8 p.m.
