You can never truly retire from the "funeral business"

Hannibal's fourth season might still be in limbo, but for those who have been suffering through the Mads Mikkelsen-is-a-badass drought, you're in luck.

Netflix has just dropped the trailer for Polar, featuring the actor as retired assassin Duncan Vizla, a.k.a. The Black Kaiser, trying to make a nice, quiet life for himself in the snow and making pals with his new neighbor (played by Vanessa Hudgens). Things seem to be going well enough for him in his sleepy new digs until his former boss decides he'd rather cash in on his death note -- it's worth $8 million to the company for him to die -- and sends in a fresh new hit squad to take him out.

Unfortunately for them, the length of his teeth doesn't seem to have slowed him down one bit, as he treats them all to some broken bones and mid-air smoke bombs and robot-armed machine guns in a series of flashy action sequences.

This all just goes to show, you can never really retire from the "funeral business."

Polar is directed by Jonas Åkerlund from Jayson Rothwell's script and is based on Víctor Santos's graphic novel Polar: Came From the Cold. Matt Lucas, Katheryn Winnick, Johnny Knoxville, Richard Dreyfuss and Ruby O. Fee also star. The film will land on Netflix Friday, Jan. 25.
