Oh say can you see my chewing gum on the field?

Despite fighting the flu and the very wintry weather up in Minneapolis, Minn., Pink stepped onto the field for Super Bowl LII to deliver the National Anthem with poise and impressive note precision.

And despite the fact that there weren't any major political moments associated with the song this time -- the players seemed to stand, rather than taking the opportunity to kneel -- there was still at least one buzzy moment of the show that gave audiences something to chew on.

Just as the introductory melody music began to cue up, Pink had to get rid of her wad of chewing gum so that all the singing could commence, and fans had a fit online.

Who knew Pink's chewing gum would become the secret MVP of the game this year?

Mostly, though, fans were impressed at how well she handled the lofty task of delivering the nation's symbolic song in front of such a large audience while she was under the weather -- in more ways than one.
