Julie Plec's thrilling supernatural world will live on with Legacies, the The Vampire Diaries and The Originals spin-off set to premiere Thursday on the CW. The new series, which follows Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) and Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) at the Salvatore Boarding School, will see several familiar faces drop by including Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig), who is now the sheriff of Mystic Falls, and fully-fledged hunter Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen). While Plec has expressed an open-door policy for TVD alumnus to appear, there's one character you can be certain won't ever make their way to the Originals spinoff: Stefan Salvatore.

After sacrificing his life for his brother Damon (Ian Somherlader) in the Vampire Dairies series finale, Stefan earned a blissful afterlife with his bestie Lexie (Arielle Kebbel) and a memorial library named after him on Legacies. But if you were hoping to see the deceased ex-vamp and his hero hair again on screen, you're in for major disappointment. Paul Wesley says there's no way he'll reprise his role as the swoon-worthy Salvatore on Legacies.

"Absolutely, 100 percent not. Stefan is forever dead," he told TV Guide.

Stefan might be gone for good but you can catch Wesley in the fairytale drama Tell Me a Story from Vampire Diaries co-creator Kevin Williamson. He is set to play a bartender and low-level thief named Eddie whose petulance is fueled even more by his struggles with alcohol and drugs. The series, which is a dark twist on classic fairy tales, is sure to be a treat for Vampire Diaries fans itching to see some familiar faces back on screen. Wesley will star opposite The Originals alum Danielle Campbell who has nothing but love for her TVD past.

"I will forever love my vampire-werewolf-witch family," she said. "They're always so dear and near to me and I love Julie [Plec] to death." Perhaps we'll see Davina Claire drop by the Salvatore Boarding School to offer up some important lessons on witchcraft. You never know!

Catch Wesley and Campbell in action on Tell Me a Story which drops Wednesday, Oct. 31 on CBS All Access. Plus, Legacies premieres Thursday, Oct. 25 at 9/8c on The CW.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, a parent company of the CW.)
