Now that he's conquered TV, Emmy-winning Band of Brothers director Tom Hanks is headed back to the big screen. Variety reports the Oscar fave will star in an adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg's picture book Polar Express, targeted for release during the 2004 holiday season. Hanks has also signed on for a remake of the 1955 black comedy The Ladykillers, directed by the Coen brothers.
