Lifetime just upped their Christmas movie game in a very, very serious way.

It was revealed on Wednesday that the One Tree Hillcast reunion photos that were posted on Instagram -- and then very quickly deleted -- were for a Lifetime Christmas movie table read. Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner are all joining in for The Christmas Contract, which will be part of the network's "It's a Wonderful Lifetime" holiday lineup.

Burton stars a Jolie, a woman dreading seeing her ex-boyfriend Foster (Hunter Burke) and his new girlfriend when she returns home to Louisiana for Christmas. To show Foster she isn't still pining over him, she recruits Jack (Buckley), the "flaky" brother of her best friend Naomi (Ackles), to play her boyfriend for the holiday. A million dollars says Jolie and Jack end up falling in love instead.

OMG a One Tree Hill Revival Might Be Coming This Christmas!

Oh wait, the news gets better too. The movie will also feature "a special musical appearance" from Tyler Hilton. Yes people, Chris Keller is getting in on this reunion action.

If you're wondering why the cast isn't reuniting as their One Tree Hill alter egos, those characters are owned by disgraced showrunner Mark Schwahn, whom the female cast of OTH wrote an open letter to last year detailing the sexual harassment and abuse he put them through while filming the show. If they used those characters, they'd have to pay Schwahn for use of the characters he created. Because of that, this is likely the closest we'll get to seeing an actual OTH reunion or revival.

The Christmas Contract began filming earlier this month on location in Louisiana and will air later this year.
