New Artists for Weeds
The producers of Weeds are happy with the lineup of rockers they’ve recruited to cover the show’s theme song, “Little Boxes,” when the hit series returns to Showtime for Season 3.“We’ve got really great people this year,” says executive producer/creator Jenji Kohan. “We’re opening with Randy Newman. This woman, Angelique Kidjo, does this great African version of it. We have a version in Russian, a version in Spanish from Keke. We’ve got Donovan and Joan Baez and the Decemberists and the Shins.”As for her own dream team, Kohan says, “I would love a Tom Waits cover.
