(Warning: This post contains spoilers from Manifest's series premiere. Read at your own risk!)

Manifest has officially landed, and the new NBC drama revolves around a huge mystery that probably left many of you wondering, what the heck did I just watch? The head-scratching premiere saw the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828 arrive at their destination to discover that while virtually no time had passed for them, five years had passed on the ground. Say whaaat?

The world obviously presumed the passengers were dead, so getting back to their daily lives was a major adjustment, especially for Ben (Josh Dallas), whose wife seemed to have moved on without him. Rejoining the world was also no easy feat for Ben's sister Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), who couldn't ignore the voices in her head telling her to free a pair of dogs. The act seemed random at first, but then it was revealed she may be part of a higher calling after those dogs led a baffled detective to uncover a human trafficking ring.

And just when we thought the show couldn't dole out anymore twists, another jaw-dropper came at the very end of the episode: Michaela is not the only one hearing voices! Ben has the same omnipresent being dishing out orders in his mind too!

The mystery might just be starting to unravel on Manifest, but we've already got a few theories as to what happened to that commercial airline. Check them them below and let us know your own conspiracies!

1. The pilot fell asleep, duh

Look, it happens! Pilots can get tired on these long journeys, so it's understandable if a little shut-eye led to a five-year extended flight. At least the plane didn't crash!

2. They took the scenic route

They say it's about the journey, not about the destination, so maybe this is just a case of Montego Air Flight 828 simply enjoying the ride. Stranger things have happened.

3. The plane went through a wormhole

We're not very good at this science stuff, but Montego Bay is not terribly far from the ill-fated Bermuda triangle — you know, where many planes and ships have been said to have mysteriously disappeared. So maybe the most plausible explanation is that the plane somehow traveled through a time vortex that somehow shot everyone five years into the future. This totally makes sense, right?

Manifest airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
