NBC Declares SNL Ready for Prime Time
NBC for the next four Saturdays at 9:30 pm/ET will air 90-minute "best of" Saturday Night Live shows, says the Reporter. If successful — not too intimidating a benchmark considering the rest of the night's programming — the clip shows could continue airing on Saturdays, leading into the local newscasts, which in turn lead into the fresh SNLs.The compilations airing over the next four weeks are "The Best of Will Ferrell," "The Best of Chris Farley," "The Best of 2006-07" and "SNL Goes Commercial."
