Talk about a sweeps stunt. NBC personalities Jay Leno and Katie Couric will trade places on May 12, with Leno co-anchoring the Today show and Couric hosting The Tonight Show. Leno tells Access Hollywood that the idea was Couric's. "She called me up and said, 'Let's switch places,'" he says. The role reversal will mark the first time someone else hosted The Tonight Show since Leno took over for Johnny Carson 12 years ago. "She'll do fine," Leno adds of Couric. "People like her; she has an infectious personality. And she's so cute that if she bombs, she can get away with it because she's cute." In related news, former American Idol host Brian Dunkleman will switch places with an Olive Garden waiter for the entire summer.
