And speaking of ratings, what were the big stories on the first official night of the new TV season? Going alphabetically, ABC's Monday Night Football double-header scored an estimated 15.8 million viewers; CBS saw Two and a Half Men top its new time slot (albeit with 2.75 million fewer peeps than Raymond used to pull), while CSI: Miami is still going strong with 18.6 million. Fox's Prison Break continued to impress, pulling 7.8 million a considerable spike following the disappointing and so-so, respectively, premieres of Arrested Development and newcomer Kitchen Confidential; and on NBC, after the Surface pilot edged out both CBS' King of Queens and freshman laffer How I Met Your Mother, Las Vegas and Medium each pulled in about 12.4 mil. By the way, Ausiello, you never said there would be math on this job.
