More than two months after his death, Michael Jackson will finally be laid to rest at a Thursday evening funeral — to be paid for by his own estate.
"The expenses are extraordinary, however, Michael Jackson was extraordinary," Jeryll Cohen, an attorney for the singer's estate, said at a hearing Wednesday at Los Angeles Superior Court.

Judge Mitchell Beckloff granted a request by Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, to have the estate foot the bill for the service, according to the Associated Press. The burial and interment is scheduled for sunset at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. He will be placed in the Great Mausoleum, where such Hollywood icons as Clark Gable and Jean Harlow have been laid to rest.Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, said last month the singer, who died June 25, was to be buried on Aug. 29 — which would have been his 51st birthday.
