"Skin flick" filmmaker Russ Meyer died on Sept. 18 from complications of pneumonia. He was 82 years old. The prince of pneumatic pinups helped spawn the nudie genre with such films as his debut feature, The Immoral Mr. Teas; Vixen; and his 1966 cult classic, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! He directed Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, which was co-written by film critic Roger Ebert, and spent most of his later years penning his cheeky autobiography, The Breast of Russ Meyer.
