Matt's Weekend Picks: August 20-22

EUREKA(Friday, 9/8c, Syfy)
Fans of Colin Ferguson get double the pleasure this weekend. In a new episode of the quirky fan fave Eureka, directed by Joe Morton, there's more tension between Sheriff Carter and Dr. Grant on the Allison front. But things get really rocky elsewhere when townspeople begin turning into stone. (Hate when that happens!) On Saturday night, Ferguson switches occupations to heroic game warden as the hero of Lake Placid 3 (9/8c, Syfy), a campy sequel to the deadly-croc franchise co-starring genre faves Yancy Butler and Michael Ironside.
WHITNEY CUMMINGS: MONEY SHOT (Saturday, 11:30/10:30c, Comedy Central)
Those with a taste for trash-talking comics saw her last weekend as one of the roasters/victims giving David Hasselhoff a shellacking, and now the Chelsea Lately regular gets her own stand-up gig, taped in Washington D.C. Among her topics: comparing the Food Network to porn, which I kinda relate to.

AARTI PARTY (Sunday, Noon/11c, Food Network)
She was a front-runner throughout this season of The Next Food Network Star, and last week the charming Aarti Sequeira was crowned champion. Enter Aarti's Party, her new cooking show that combines familiar foods with exotic Indian flavors and techniques. (Runner-up Tom Pizzica has landed his own prime-time show, Outrageous Food, that will launch in November.)
TRUE BLOOD(Sunday, 9/8c, HBO)
How is King Russell of Mississippi ever going to top last week's shocking climax, as he declared war against humanity on cable TV while brandishing a dead newsreader's innards? This week, after communing with his perished lover Talbot, the ancient royal vamp promises vengeance on his enemies, which now seem too many to count.
