That love triangle may soon become a square

Things are about to get even more troublesome for Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) in Season 2 of Manifest.

Blue Bloods alum Yasha Jackson is set to recur on the NBC drama next season as Suzanne, a dean at Astoria University and Ben's ex-girlfriend who reconnects with him after they run into each other on campus, TV Guide has confirmed. Her re-emergence in Ben's life comes after he finally reconciled with his wife, Grace (Athena Karkanis), who is pregnant with either Ben or her ex Danny's (Daniel Sunjata) baby. Complicated, right?

"After we had taken pains to finally get Ben and Grace to a place of understanding and to have summed up their marriage in a way that feels good and real and hopefully long-lasting, this new wrench comes into the equation, and that's going to challenge the stability of their marriage all over again," showrunner Jeff Rake previously told TV Guide.

With baby mama drama on the way, Ben might need a shoulder to lean on, and Suzanne sounds like the perfect person for the job.

The Manifest family will also expand next year to include Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists' Garrett Wareing as TJ Morrison, a college freshman who went on vacation to Jamaica and returned five and a half years later. Like some of the passengers who boarded the ill-fated Flight 828, he's feeling alone in the world and turns to Ben, who takes him under his wing, for some much-needed guidance.

Manifest returns for Season 2 this winter on NBC.
