While Dina Lohan has already
weighed in on her daughter's
nude photo shoot (note: photos contain partial nudity),
Lindsay Lohan's dad is specifically (and smartly) staying away from them.
Michael Lohan told Us, "I'm not going to look at the photos - that's my daughter!" That being said, the star's dad, who's had a tough relationship with his daughter in the past, said, "Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career." He also praised her being chosen by the photographer for the Marilyn Monroe re-creation, calling it "an amazing thing." He did add, "I pray there are no parallels to her and Marilyn Monroe's destiny."
Considering that Monroe died of a drug overdose in her thirties, it's good to see that Mr. Lohan has some perspective - as does, it seems, his daughter (not a moment too soon). Blog gossip aside, in the shoot's accompanying interview, she asserts her distance from the fate of her muse: "I sure as hell wouldn't let [an overdose] happen to me." - Anna Dimond
