David Letterman on Friday night welcomed Paris Hilton back to his show, marking the celebutante's first appearance since Dave pestered her endlessly about her abbreviated jail stint.Having thereafter realized he came off as rude, Letterman greeted Hilton this time by acknowledging, "I offended you. I'm not here to make enemies, honestly. I'm terribly sorry." Paris welcomed Dave's mea culpa, smiling back, "You better not try it again. I hope you got the jail thing out of your system."
